Nine hills behind Cesenatico, 200 or 137 km
The Nove Colli is a gran fondo with roots in 1971, starting at sunrise from the seafront in Cesenatico and heading into the hills of Romagna.
The first Nove Colli was ridden in 1971 by a group of friends who shared a passion for cycling. The 2027 edition is the 56th, on Sunday 23 May, and as always it leaves from the seafront in Cesenatico as the sun comes up.
The name means nine hills. The long route is 200 km with 3,814 m of climbing, a test the organiser says will challenge even the best prepared rider. The medium route is 137 km with 1,872 m, which the organiser describes as suited to amateur cyclists of all ages, while warning that preparation must not be neglected.
Alongside the road routes there is a gravel route of 107 km with 1,798 m of climbing, which the organiser introduces as a new route for lovers of the discipline.
The organiser calls the race a celebration that draws thousands of enthusiasts. There is a pasta party for everyone after the race, and the Mini Novecolli Gobik is an eco ride for young people.
On Livebib you can follow a rider who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Nove Colli.
