Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Livebib platform, including the website at livebib.com, our web and mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Kavod AB, a company established in Sweden (Muskötvägen 17B, 184 60 Åkersberga) (“Livebib”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By creating an account, broadcasting a run, posting content, purchasing a subscription or super-cheer, viewing a broadcast, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Livebib Is

Livebib is a live broadcast platform for endurance and outdoor athletes — a place where runners and other athletes can broadcast a live page of their activity. A broadcast may include real-time GPS location shown on a map, live statistics (such as pace, heart rate, and elevation), posts (text, photos, video, and voice notes), AI-generated commentary, and interactions from followers (comments and “cheers”).

Livebib is a technology platform. We are not a charity, a payment institution, a money-transfer service, a medical provider, a coaching service, or a safety or emergency service. See Sections 7, 8, 10, and 11.

2. Eligibility and Age

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher, to create an account. Where a parent or guardian’s consent is required by law, you must have obtained it.
The Service is not directed at children under this age, and we do not knowingly allow them to create accounts. See our Privacy Policy and Content Moderation & Safety Policy.
By using the Service you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and that your use complies with all laws applicable to you.

3. Accounts

3.1 Creating an account

Viewing and following a broadcast is open and does not require an account.
Commenting, cheering, broadcasting, subscribing, and most interactive features require an account.
You can sign in with an email magic link (no password), or via Google or Strava. A nickname is required for all accounts.

3.2 Your responsibilities

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Keep access to the email account you use for magic-link sign-in secure, and do not share your Livebib account.
Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Choose a nickname that is not misleading, impersonating, offensive, or infringing.
Notify us promptly at hello@livebib.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Crew and delegated moderators

A runner may delegate certain roles (for example, a “crew” or moderator) to other account holders, allowing them to manage a broadcast and moderate comments. The runner remains responsible for those delegated actions. See the Content Moderation & Safety Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Post or transmit content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, or that incites violence.
Doxx, stalk, or reveal private information about any person, or use the Service’s location features to track or endanger another person.
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
Upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, scrape data at scale, circumvent rate limits, or disrupt the Service.
Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others.
Broadcast another person’s precise location without their knowledge and consent.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Detailed rules and enforcement are described in the Content Moderation & Safety Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5. User-Generated Content

5.1 Your content

“User Content” means anything you submit, post, broadcast, or transmit through the Service — including location data, activity statistics, posts, photos, videos, voice notes, comments, and your nickname/profile.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You are solely responsible for it and for ensuring you have the rights to share it.

5.2 License you grant us

You grant Livebib a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content solely as needed to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service — including broadcasting it live to viewers, archiving it, generating AI commentary, and showing it to the audience you have chosen. This license ends when your content is deleted, except where the content has been shared with others who have not deleted it, or where we must retain it to comply with law (see the Privacy Policy for retention details).

5.3 The public nature of broadcasts

Broadcasts on Livebib are, by default, public. When you broadcast, the content you choose to share — including your real-time location, statistics, and posts — may be viewable by anyone, including people without an account. Please read Section 6 and our Content Moderation & Safety Policy carefully before broadcasting.

5.4 AI-generated commentary

The Service may use a third-party AI provider (currently Anthropic (Claude); we may also use Mistral or OpenAI) to generate commentary based on your broadcast. Only a minimized, derived summary of your activity is sent to the AI provider — never your GPS coordinates, raw heart-rate values, or your name (see the Privacy Policy). AI-generated commentary may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate; it is provided “as is” and does not represent Livebib’s views.

6. Location Data and Safety (Important)

The core feature of Livebib is broadcasting real-time geolocation publicly. This carries real safety risks, including the risk that someone could use your live location to locate, follow, or harm you.

You are in control of when you broadcast and what you share.
Privacy zones: You can configure “privacy zones” that mask your location near sensitive addresses (such as your home). We strongly recommend using them, but they are a tool, not a guarantee, and you remain responsible for what you broadcast.
Mobile app / background location: if you use the Livebib mobile app as a GPS beacon, it sends your position to Livebib while a broadcast is active, including when the app is in the background, exactly as presented and consented to in the app. You can stop this at any time by stopping the broadcast or revoking the location permission.
Livebib is not a safety, security, or emergency service. Do not rely on it to summon help. See Sections 8 and 10 and the Content Moderation & Safety Policy.

7. Paid Services and Money

Livebib keeps all money flows simple and honest. Everything you pay through the Service is a payment to Livebib for Livebib’s own paid features — Livebib never holds anyone else’s money. Payments are processed by our payment service provider Mollie (Mollie B.V., an EU-licensed payment institution); Livebib does not store your full card details.

All consumer prices are stated including VAT where VAT applies.

7.1 Livebib Premium (subscription)

Certain features — for example photo/orthophoto map mode, replay videos, AI race reports, and other features marked as premium — require a paid subscription (“Livebib Premium”). The current feature list and prices are shown at the point of purchase.
Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods of the same length until cancelled. We send reminders where required by law.
Cancellation: you can cancel at any time in your account settings, with effect from the end of the current billing period. No lock-in and no cancellation fee.
Right of withdrawal (ångerrätt): as an EU/EEA consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you subscribe (Swedish Distance Contracts Act, SFS 2005:59). If you ask us to start delivering the subscription during the withdrawal period and then withdraw, you pay a proportionate amount for what was delivered and we refund the rest. Withdrawal instructions and the standard form are provided at purchase; an email to hello@livebib.com is always sufficient.
Price changes: we may change subscription prices with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal. If you do not accept the new price, cancel before the renewal takes effect; renewal after notice constitutes acceptance.
Feature changes: we may improve, add, or replace premium features over time. If we materially reduce what your subscription includes, we will notify you in advance and you may cancel with a pro-rata refund of any prepaid, undelivered period.

7.2 Super-cheers (one-off purchases that support Livebib)

A “super-cheer” is a one-off purchase that highlights your cheer in a broadcast’s chat. A super-cheer is a payment to Livebib that supports the platform. It is not a payment, tip, or donation to the runner, and no part of it is owed or forwarded to the runner.
A super-cheer is digital content delivered immediately. By purchasing, you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the cheer has been displayed. Super-cheers are otherwise non-refundable except as required by law or where delivery fails.
Cheering without paying is, and remains, free.

7.3 Supporting a runner directly (runner’s own links)

A runner may display their own support link on their broadcast — for example a personal Swish number/QR code or a link to an external donation or sponsorship page.
Any such payment goes directly from you to the runner (or to the external service the runner chose). Livebib is not a party to that transaction, never receives, holds, or forwards the money, charges no fee on it, and takes no responsibility for it. The runner is responsible for the accuracy of their link and for their own tax and legal obligations.
External services linked by a runner are governed by their own terms.

7.4 No charity processing

Livebib does not collect, hold, or distribute charitable donations and makes no representation about any charitable cause a runner may promote. Verify causes independently before giving.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service is built on EU-based infrastructure and relies on a small number of third-party services, including hosting (Hetzner, Germany), CDN/DNS/media storage (Bunny, EU), backups and transactional email (Scaleway, France), payments (Mollie, Netherlands), AI commentary (Anthropic; optionally Mistral or OpenAI), and sign-in providers (Google, Strava) if you choose to use them. Runner support links (Section 7.3) point to services chosen by the runner. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Livebib is not responsible for third-party services and does not control them.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and content provided by Livebib (excluding User Content), is owned by Livebib or its licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law or with our written consent.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

No medical, health, or safety advice. Statistics such as heart rate, pace, and elevation, and any AI commentary, are for informational and entertainment purposes only. They are not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before undertaking any physical activity.
Live tracking may be inaccurate or delayed. GPS and sensor data can be wrong, delayed, interrupted, or unavailable. Do not rely on location or statistics for navigation, safety, or any critical purpose.
Not a safety or emergency service. Livebib does not monitor broadcasts for emergencies and cannot dispatch help. In an emergency, contact local emergency services directly.
No guarantee of availability. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory Swedish and EU consumer-protection law (for paid digital services, including the conformity rules implementing the Digital Content Directive (EU) 2019/770).

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Livebib shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
Livebib shall not be liable for harm arising from the public broadcast of location data, the acts of third parties (including stalkers, viewers, or other users), inaccuracies in tracking or statistics, AI-generated commentary, third-party services, or payments made directly to runners via their own links (Section 7.3).
Livebib’s total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amounts you paid to Livebib in the [12] months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) [EUR amount].

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable mandatory law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct, where applicable, and your mandatory rights as a consumer).

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Livebib and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right. This clause does not apply to the extent prohibited by mandatory consumer law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund of already-delivered subscription periods, except as provided in Section 7.1 or by mandatory law.
We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or applicable law, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate a paid subscription without cause, we refund the prepaid, undelivered period pro rata.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including content licenses already granted to others, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive. Data handling on termination is described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to the Service and to These Terms

We may modify the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by posting on livebib.com, in-product notice, or email) — at least 30 days in advance where the change materially affects a paid subscription. Changes take effect on the stated effective date. Your continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may cancel a paid subscription with effect from the change (with a pro-rata refund of any prepaid, undelivered period where the change is materially adverse).

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence in the EU/EEA. Disputes shall be subject to the courts of Stockholm, Sweden, unless mandatory law provides otherwise (as a consumer you may always sue and be sued in your country of residence within the EU).

If you are a consumer in Sweden, you may also refer disputes to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN) — arn.se, Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm. Consumers in other EU/EEA countries may contact their national consumer body or the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net).

16. Assignment, Corporate Changes, and Continuity

You may not assign or transfer these Terms, your account, or your subscription without our prior written consent.
We may assign or transfer these Terms — including your subscription and any rights and obligations under them, in whole or in part, and without your prior consent — to (a) any company within our corporate group (parent, subsidiary, or affiliate), or (b) a successor entity in connection with a merger, demerger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or a sale or transfer of all or substantially all of the assets or business to which these Terms relate — provided the transfer does not materially reduce your rights under these Terms. Where required by law, we will inform you of the identity of the new operating entity; such a notice does not require your renewed acceptance.
Changes to our corporate identity are not an assignment and do not affect these Terms. A change of our company name, trade or business name, legal form, registered address, or other corporate registration details does not affect the validity of these Terms, your account, or your subscription, and does not require a new agreement, renewed consent, or any action from you. These Terms continue in force with the renamed or succeeding entity as “Livebib”.
Our current legal information (operating entity, registration number, and address) is always available at livebib.com and on your receipts.

17. Miscellaneous

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Content Moderation & Safety Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Livebib regarding the Service.
