Every start is somewhere else. Every finish is the Promenade

The 2026 edition ran from 24 to 27 September 2026. Five races started in five different places, from the Mercantour to the tip of Cap Ferrat, and all of them ended on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.

The 100M, the Ultra Trail Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, left Auron at 13:00 on Friday 25 September: 168 km, 8,900 m of ascent and a 50-hour limit. Levens-Nice (39 km, 1,388 m) started at 19:00 the same evening as a night crossing. On Saturday the Roubion-Nice 100K (113 km, 5,400 m, 31 hours) left at 08:00 and Eze-Nice (50 km, 2,000 m, 12 hours) at 07:30. On Sunday morning Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat-Nice (23 km, 680 m, 5 hours) started at 07:30 from the port.

Because each course runs from high ground to the sea, the longer ones descend more than they climb. The last kilometres of several races share the hills above Nice, Mont Leuze, the Vinaigrier, Mont Alban and Mont Boron, before dropping to the Baie des Anges. On the 100M the highest point is above 2,650 m at Rabuons, and the course skirts the Italian Piedmont before turning south.

For the people waiting on the Promenade, the runner is somewhere between a mountain village and the sea, often for a long time. A runner can share a link to their own Livebib broadcast. Family and friends open it in a browser, no account or app, and see the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. In remote valleys where the phone loses signal, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated instead of freezing. The runner decides who gets the link.
