Ultra Trail Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur - 100M

It is a crossing from the Mercantour to the Riviera. The course climbs to its highest point, above 2,650 m at Rabuons, then heads for Colle Longue and skirts the Italian Piedmont before a remote, technical descent. It goes on through chestnut forest, crosses the Tinée, and traverses a high ridge above 2,000 m in the Mercantour massif before turning south into Mediterranean country.

The final kilometres cross the four hills of Leuze, Vinaigrier, Alban and Boron, and the race ends by the sea on the Promenade des Anglais. Starting high and finishing at sea level, the course descends more than it climbs. Aid stations, cutoffs and start waves are not listed on the race page.

Fifty hours is two nights, and the stretch near the Italian border is the remotest part of the line.
