Lavaredo 10K
It is the shortest race of the event and the organiser presents it as open to everyone, run at sunset on the trails around Cortina. The published course goes out to Lago Pianozes, at about 6.5 km, and comes back to the finish on Corso Italia, staying between roughly 1,170 and 1,220 m at its checkpoints. There are no refreshment stations on the way, only at the finish, and the organiser recommends carrying half a litre, a long-sleeved top, a thermal blanket and a whistle.
Entry requires being over 18 and holding a My UTMB account. A UTMB Index is not needed. Bibs are collected in person at the Olympic Ice Stadium on the afternoon of the race. With a two-hour limit and a 19:00 gun, the whole field is home before dark.
For many runners this is the first Lavaredo, and for their family the first time following one. On Livebib the runner shares a link to their own broadcast. It opens in any browser, without an account or app, and shows the position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as they run, so nobody misses the last stretch down Corso Italia.
