The mountain bike marathon of Selva Val Gardena

The HERO Südtirol Dolomites is a mountain bike marathon from Selva Val Gardena through the heart of the Dolomites, with three courses and a round of the UCI marathon world cup.

The 17th edition is on Saturday 12 June 2027 in Selva Val Gardena. The race has run since 2010, and since 2025 it has given its name to the HERO UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup. Elite men race the 86 km course and elite women the 60 km course, on the same day as the amateur field.

There are three courses. The 86 km course climbs 4,500 m, the 71 km course 4,100 m and the 60 km course 3,200 m. The long course leaves Selva Gardena at 1,563 m, crosses the Gardena and Dantercepies pass at 2,298 m to Corvara, continues over Pralongià to Arabba, climbs the Pordoi Pass, drops towards Canazei and Campitello and returns over the Duron Pass to Selva Gardena.

The race is open to riders aged 19 or over and is capped at 3,027 starters. Riders can switch between the 60 km course and the longer ones until 7 May 2027. Start numbers are collected at the Pranives ice rink in Selva from Thursday 10 June.

The starts run between 07.10 and 08.55, and the start area is open to everyone. Selva Val Gardena is where spectators see both the start and the finish, and the HERO Bike Festival fills the days around the race.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the HERO Südtirol Dolomites.
