Amstel Gold Race Toerversie, live.

The pro course in South Limburg, one day early

The Amstel Gold Race tour ride lets anyone cycle the course of the Dutch spring classic the day before the professionals race it.

On Saturday 17 April 2027 the Amstel Gold Race opens its course to recreational cyclists, one day before the professional races. The routes take in the most iconic climbs of the Dutch province of Limburg.

There are six distances: 65, 100, 125, 150, 200 and 240 km. The organiser notes that the routes can still change. All start at the Shimano Experience Center in Valkenburg and finish in Valkenburg aan de Geul.

At the start each rider receives a number, a handlebar plate, a route description and sports food and drink. Along the routes there are feed stations with repair facilities, toilets, fruit, sports food and drink and medical care, and Shimano mechanics and motorbike riders give technical support on the course.

At the finish every rider receives a memento of the tour ride, and there is a beer waiting on the festival ground with a live artist.

On Livebib you can follow a rider who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Amstel Gold Race.
