Fifteen hilly kilometres from Nijmegen

The Garmin Zevenheuvelenloop is a 15 km road race through the hills east of Nijmegen, with an evening 7 km the day before.

The 2026 edition is the 41st. The 15 km starts on Sunday 15 November at 13:00, and the Zevenheuvelennacht of 7 km starts on Saturday 14 November at 19:00. The organiser calls it the country's most beautiful and the world's fastest 15 km, and the current world records over 15 km for both men and women were run in Nijmegen.

Both races start and finish on the Groesbeekseweg near the Sumatrastraat. The 15 km runs out over the Nijmeegse Baan, Derdebaan and Zevenheuvelenweg, then through Meerwijkselaan, Postweg, Molenbosweg, Oude Kleefsebaan and Kwakkenbergweg before returning via the Postweg and Gelderselaan. The first 5 km are a deceptive false flat, the middle section brings the hills that give the race its name, and the last four kilometres slope gently down to the finish.

The Zevenheuvelennacht is shorter but not easy: from the Groesbeekseweg it turns onto the Sophiaweg, where the most serious climb begins, then follows the Louiseweg and Kwakkenbergweg before descending to the finish. It suits runners who are well prepared for some climbing. Both races were sold out, with an official resale for entries, and there is also a Mini Zevenheuvelenloop for children and a business run.

For years the race has drawn thousands of runners from home and abroad to Nijmegen, and the organiser relies on the help of no fewer than 950 volunteers to stage it. If you are coming to watch, plan your journey to Nijmegen early.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Zevenheuvelenloop.
