Fifteen kilometres over Rotterdam's bridges at sunset

The 36th DSW Bruggenloop Rotterdam runs on Sunday 13 December 2026, a 15 km winter run over the city's best known bridges as the skyline lights up.

The Bruggenloop has become one of Rotterdam's favourite running classics and closes the year for thousands of people. Start and finish are traditionally at Stadion Feijenoord, De Kuip, and the 15 km route crosses some of the city's landmark bridges, including the Erasmusbrug and the Van Brienenoordbrug, with strings of running lights along the way.

The race starts in waves of 15 minutes, the first at 15:00 and the last at 16:15, so most participants run into the dusk. Your wave depends on the finish time you gave when entering, and arrivals after their wave start move to a later one. Wave 1 is reached through the stadium entrance, the others through car park P4.

Bibs and ordered shirts can be collected at Stadion Feijenoord on Saturday 12 December from 12:00 to 16:00, and on race day from 12:30. Individual entries for 2026 are sold out, with a waiting list for any places that come back. Alongside the 15 km there is a Business Run for company teams.

The course suits anyone wanting one last hard effort of the year in a festive setting, and a run light on your vest is part of the look. Supporters can wait at De Kuip for the finish or head to the bridges to watch the lights stream across the river.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, so the dot on the map is only as good as that phone and its signal. Official results and split times come from the organiser.
