Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, live.

Fast and flat through downtown Indianapolis

The CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon starts at 8:00 on Saturday 7 November 2026, one block north of the Indiana Convention Center.

The organisers celebrate 19 years of running in Indianapolis with the 2026 race on Saturday 7 November. General registration has sold out, and the expo opens on Thursday 5 November.

The marathon and the half marathon start together at 8:00 on Maryland Street, one block north of the Indiana Convention Center, and finish in the same area. The course is fast and flat and passes through historic neighbourhoods and the city's Cultural Districts. The marathon passes the Heslar Naval Armory, built in 1938, after mile 20, and the half marathon runs along Mass Ave and through the Bottleworks District. The marathon has a seven hour limit, with the finish closing at 3:30 pm.

The 5K starts at 8:40, once every marathon and half marathon participant has crossed the start line. It is a short way into the weekend for friends and family of the longer distance runners.

A flat course and a November date make the Monumental a popular race for people aiming at a personal best, and it also suits first timers. Spectators can find the runners downtown and in the neighbourhoods along the route.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Monumental Marathon.
