The 19th Pinhoti 100 starts at 6:00 am on Saturday 7 November 2026 at Pine Glen Campground near Heflin, Alabama, and finishes at Lake Howard on the Sylaward Trail.
The Pinhoti 100 is a point to point 100 miler on the Pinhoti Trail in Alabama, run by the Pinhoti Trail Series. The series began in 2006 with the Mount Cheaha 50K, and the 100 grew out of it. The 2026 race is the 19th edition and takes place on 7 and 8 November.
The course measures 100.38 miles and has just over 14,000 feet of climb. It is made up of 83 miles of single track, 17 miles of jeep road and 2 miles of pavement, with rocks, creek crossings and long ridge lines through the Talladega National Forest. Along the way it crosses Cheaha Mountain, at 2,408 feet the highest point in Alabama, before finishing at Lake Howard on the Sylaward Trail.
The start is at 6:00 am at Pine Glen Campground in the Choccolocco Management Area, northeast of Heflin, and the final cutoff at the finish is 2:00 pm on Sunday. The organisers say it is not a first timer course, but many people still choose it for their first 100 and finish it with good preparation.
Crews can reach the runners at several aid stations listed in the race's aid station table, and some sections have no crew access, so supporters should study it before race day. Pacers are allowed from Cheaha Lake onward. The race handbook lists a record high of 83°F and a record low of 24°F, and says most years have brought beautiful fall weather.
On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Pinhoti 100.
