Ultrabericus Trail, live.

A trail lap of the Colli Berici from Vicenza

Ultrabericus is a trail race that leaves the centre of Vicenza and circles the Colli Berici on single track, mule tracks and cart tracks.

The next edition is on Saturday 20 March 2027. Start and finish are in Piazza dei Signori in the heart of Vicenza. The Integrale, the Twin and the Marathon set off together at 10:00, and the Urban starts at 11:00. The course changes direction every year: in odd years it is run anticlockwise, so 2027 goes round the hills the other way from 2026.

The Integrale is the full lap, 65 km with 2,500 m of climbing. The Twin is a relay for a pair, one man and one woman, with a first leg of 34 km and 1,500 m of climbing and a second of 31 km and 1,000 m. The Marathon covers 45 km and 1,500 m, and the Urban 21 km and 700 m. Almost all of it is off the tarmac, through villages such as Arcugnano, Nanto, Mossano and Barbarano on the way round.

The race suits trail runners who want a long day close to a city rather than in the high mountains. Entrants must be born in 2005 or earlier and hold a medical certificate for competitive athletics. Mandatory kit is light: a 0.5 litre bottle, a windproof jacket, a head torch, a whistle, a survival blanket and a personal cup.

Start and finish are both in Piazza dei Signori. The organiser expects the first Urban runners around 12:30, the first Marathon finishers around 14:00 and the leaders of the Integrale and Twin around 15:30, with the last finishers in by 23:00.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
