200 miles around Lake Tahoe

The Tahoe 200 is a single loop around Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America, starting on Monday 21 June 2027 from Heavenly Stagecoach Lodge.

Destination Trail organises the Tahoe 200, which has returned to the original full loop course and circles Lake Tahoe largely on the Tahoe Rim Trail and other National Forest lands. The 2027 race runs from 21 to 25 June, and registration is by waitlist.

The loop measures 200.4 miles with 32,093 feet of climbing and 32,077 feet of descent, starting and finishing at Heavenly Stagecoach Lodge. There are 12 full aid stations, three of them with sleep stations, one grab and go station and six crew access points. Participants have 105 hours to complete the loop.

The Tahoe 100K runs on 19 and 20 June, before the 200. It covers 62.3 miles with 11,498 feet of climbing, nearly all on singletrack, and reaches a high point of 9,800 feet and passes Star Lake.

The organisers describe a route that occasionally leaves the Tahoe Rim Trail to explore aspen meadows, rock gardens of giants, small impossibly blue lakes, thick canopied forests and long ridge lines with stunning views. The 100K has 3 aid stations and a 24 hour limit, and Star Lake is Tahoe's highest alpine lake.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from Destination Trail.
