Five days on the bike from Zurich to Davos

The Swiss Epic is a five day mountain bike stage race for teams of two through the canton of Graubünden, and in 2027 it has a new start in Zurich.

The 2027 edition runs from 17 to 21 August. It belongs to the Epic Series, the same family as the Absa Cape Epic, and races in the series offer a way to qualify for the Absa Cape Epic. The organiser carves out a new route every year, and for 2027 that route leaves Zurich and ends with a grand finale in Davos.

Expect around 340 km of riding, 10,000 m of climbing and 11,000 m of descending over the five days. The exact stage towns are revealed closer to race day, but the organiser promises urban trails, mountain passes, flowing singletrack, bike parks and high alpine valleys between Zurich and Davos.

This is a race for riders who are comfortable on technical mountain bike terrain day after day. Entries are made as a team of two, with categories such as Open, Mixed and Masters. The entry is a full service package with five nights of accommodation, meals, luggage transfer, a bike wash and mechanics.

Friends and family who travel along can book the organiser's supporter package, with five nights of half board in the race hotels, transfers between the host towns and luggage transport, so they can cheer the riders on close up. The race ends with a grand finale in Davos.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Swiss Epic.
