A Trifecta weekend near Madrid

Spartan Madrid is an obstacle race weekend in San Agustín del Guadalix, about 40 minutes from the centre of Madrid, on 8 and 9 May 2027.

Saturday 8 May is the Beast, 21 km with 30 obstacles, with the Elite start at 08:30, Age Group at 08:45 and open heats from 09:30. Sunday 9 May is the Super, 10 km with 25 obstacles, with Elite at 09:00, Age Group at 09:15 and open heats at 10:00. The Sprint, 5 km with 20 obstacles, has open heats on Saturday at 12:45 and Sunday at 13:00, and the kids race is on Saturday afternoon. The organiser marks the schedule as preliminary.

The terrain is technical, with uneven dirt paths, unpredictable water crossings and thick grass. Finishing the Sprint, Super and Beast over the weekend completes the Trifecta.

The Spartan Festival opens at 07:30 on both days, and bib pick up runs through the day. Elite and Age Group awards follow each main race.

It suits newcomers on the Sprint and experienced racers on the Beast, and teams can register together.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry on the course. That dot is the person's own sharing, not the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by the organiser.
