Allianz Jean Bouin, live.

Spain's oldest road race, on Montjuïc since 1973

The 103rd Allianz Jean Bouin of Mundo Deportivo is held in Barcelona on Sunday 29 November 2026, with an Open 10K and an Open 5K for everyone and a full programme of school, club and elite races.

The race was born on 1 February 1920, started by a group of sports journalists who wanted a city race like those in Paris. It carries the name of Jean Bouin, the French distance runner born in Marseille in 1888 who won Olympic silver over 5,000 m in Stockholm in 1912 and died at the front in 1914. The first edition ran 10 km from Esplugues de Llobregat to the Parc de la Ciutadella with 48 athletes. It is the oldest road race in Spain, has been organised by Mundo Deportivo since 1941 and has been based on Montjuïc since 1973.

The Open 10K, added in 1979, starts at 10:00 on Avinguda Maria Cristina and finishes at the same point, with a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes. It is open from age 16, or from 14 with a parent's permission. The Open 5K, added in 2013, also starts on Avinguda Maria Cristina and finishes beside the Arc de Triomf, where the finish line stood for more than 40 years. Its limit is 45 minutes and it is open from age 14.

The 100th edition in 2023 set a record of 20,000 participants. The morning also includes 17 races for professionals, club athletes and schoolchildren, and the 77th Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona. Entries close on 24 November at 23:59, or earlier if the races fill. Bibs and shirts are collected in Pavilion 2 of the Fira de Barcelona on Montjuïc on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November from 10:00 to 20:00.

Spectators can watch the start and finish on Avinguda Maria Cristina, or head to the Arc de Triomf for the 5K finish.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, so the dot moves only as well as that phone and its signal. Official results come from the organiser of the Allianz Jean Bouin.
