This page belongs to the 2027 Rothrock by UTMB 50K. The organiser gives 53.3 km and 1,550 m of climbing, and notes that a watch may record up to a mile more or less, depending on recording interval, terrain and tree cover. The course passes Bear Meadows Natural Area, a National Natural Landmark, follows the Tussey Ridge Trail with views over the surrounding ranges, and crosses several rustic log bridges, among them the Three Bridges Trail. The organiser also promises a beer-tap stop along the way.

The maximum race time is 12 hours. The 50K is a UTMB World Series 50K category race, carries two Running Stones and is marked for direct entry to the Finals. The aid-station chart and GPX on the race page are the 2026 versions, which the organiser says are subject to change for 2027, so check them closer to race day. It suits a runner who wants a full day of East Coast ridge and forest trail in spring, with a limit that leaves room to walk the climbs.

Twelve hours in a state forest is a long wait for anyone at the start area. On Livebib the runner shares a link to their own broadcast. It opens in a browser without an app and shows the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates through the day. Under the trees, where a phone can lose signal, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated.
