Romeo&Giulietta Run Half Marathon, live.

A Valentine's Day half marathon in Verona

The Romeo&Giulietta Run Half Marathon celebrates its 20th anniversary on Sunday 14 February 2027, Valentine's Day, in the city of Romeo and Juliet.

The race is organised by G.A.A.C. 2007 Veronamarathon ASD with the City of Verona and appears in the World Athletics, AIMS and FIDAL calendars. It is a half marathon over 21.0975 km with a time limit of 3 hours, and the organiser gives an average February temperature of 9°C.

The start is at Piazzale Olimpia by the stadium and the finish is inside the Stadio Bentegodi, with the expo at the AGSM AIM Forum on Piazzale Atleti Azzurri d'Italia. The start time for 2027 is still to be announced. Federation members can take part from age 18, Runcard holders from 20, and people without an Italian licence can enter as non competitive participants.

For those who prefer to share the distance there is a non competitive relay for two people aged 18 and over. The first leg covers 8 km from the stadium to the changeover on Lungadige Attiraglio, and the second covers 13 km to the Bentegodi, with a shuttle to the changeover. A Family Run in carnival costume, with a 1 hour 30 limit, rounds off the morning.

The race suits a winter half marathon target or a romantic weekend with a run in it. Spectators can see the start by the stadium and the finish inside it, and the relay changeover by the Adige is a good place to cheer.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, so the dot on the map is only as good as that phone and its signal. Official results and split times come from the organiser.
