RomaOstia Half Marathon, live.

From EUR to the sea at Ostia

The RomaOstia Half Marathon is a point to point road half marathon that leaves the heart of Rome's EUR district and runs to the coast at Ostia.

The 52nd RomaOstia Half Marathon takes place on 28 February 2027. With 52 editions behind it, the organiser says the race still moves thousands of runners every year.

The course covers 21.097 km in total. It starts in the heart of EUR, the district of wide avenues in the south of Rome, and heads along Via Cristoforo Colombo toward the coast at Ostia. Running toward the sea gives the race its character. The organiser calls it 21.097 fast km, with the well known Camping climb and a final descent that rewards those who managed their energy.

The time limit is 3 hours 30 minutes. Late February in Rome is usually mild for running, and with a climb before the final descent it pays to keep something in reserve.

Because the race is point to point, the start in EUR and the finish by the sea are far apart, and travel between them takes time. Participants should plan how to get back from Ostia after the race and where to meet friends and family. Check the organiser's site for the start time and other practical details before travelling.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, so the dot on the map is only as good as that phone and its signal. The official results and splits come from the RomaOstia organiser.
