A half marathon and 10K on a closed Strip after dark

Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas takes over Las Vegas Boulevard on the evening of 21 February 2027, with a 5K Downtown the night before.

The Las Vegas edition of the Rock 'n' Roll Running Series is an evening race. The organiser describes it as the only race where you can stay out all night and sleep all day, and the start is at 4:30 p.m. rather than at dawn.

The half marathon gives participants the entire closed Strip, with the whole course on Las Vegas Boulevard. It starts on Las Vegas Blvd at New York New York and finishes at the Bellagio, with a 4 hour time limit. The 10K uses the same start and finish at the same time, with a 2 hour limit. On Saturday 20 February the 5K starts at 5:00 p.m. and finishes on Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas, under SlotZilla, with a 1 hour limit.

A course on one closed boulevard and the late start suit people who prefer to race after a lazy day, and the 10K and 5K are friendly first races. Entry includes a finisher medal, a personalised bib and live music along the course, according to the registration page.

Spectators can line the Strip, where the organiser promises music and crowds under the neon. The 5K start line is still to be announced, so check the course page before Saturday.
