The long distance duathlon world title

Powerman Zofingen is a duathlon in Zofingen, Switzerland, which hosts the World Triathlon Powerman Long Distance Duathlon World Championships on 4 and 5 September 2027.

The organisers call it the toughest duathlon in the world, and it is staged together with World Triathlon. At the 2026 edition Merle Brunnée won a fifth world title and the men's course record fell. Elite athletes enter through their national federation, while age group and open athletes enter directly.

The long distance on Sunday 5 September is a 10 km run, 150 km on the bike and a 30 km run. The elite women start at 08:00 and the age group women from 08:02, the elite men at 09:00 and the age group men from 09:02. The bike is raced in laps and the second run in four laps, with cut-offs at 14:00 for starting the last bike lap and at 19:00 for starting the fourth run lap.

The short distance, also on Sunday, is 10 km, 50 km and 5 km, with the women starting at 09:45 and the open and team relay field at 09:50. It is a shorter way into the race. Saturday belongs to the PowerKids races, the Zofingen 5000 and the opening ceremony and pasta party in the Stadtsaal.

The race office is in the Stadtsaal and the info point is at the Expo. The finish line, the short distance awards and the elite podium ceremony are in the Powerman Arena.

If a participant chooses to share their live position from the phone they carry, you can follow them on Livebib from start to finish. This is the athlete's own sharing and separate from the organiser's timing, so the official results always come from the organiser.
