Peachtree Road Race, live.

Atlanta's Fourth of July 10K, Lenox Square to Piedmont Park

The Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race is a 10K through Atlanta on Sunday 4 July 2027, organised by Atlanta Track Club.

The Peachtree Road Race is Atlanta's Independence Day tradition, and Atlanta Track Club describes it as the world's largest 10K, with more than 55,000 runners and walkers on the streets. For the first time in more than 50 years the race has a new title partner, Northside Hospital. The 2027 race is on 4 July.

The course starts at Lenox Square and finishes in Piedmont Park, taking participants through the heart of the city. Slower participants are asked to keep to the right side of the road, and friends running together should stay no more than two abreast.

Early registration for 2027 ran from 4 to 11 July 2026 and is closed. The general lottery and member registration open in spring 2027, and club members receive guaranteed entry and preferred wave placement. Participants must be at least 10 years old on race day. A winter version on the same theme, the Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race, is held on 2 January 2027.

July heat is a real factor in Atlanta. In 2026 the club's Event Alert System encouraged people at higher risk of heat illness to switch to the virtual option. Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome, and after the finish the top 500 men and top 500 women collect their awards at a tent in the meadow of Piedmont Park.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from Atlanta Track Club.
