The Ouray 100 Mile Endurance Run starts at 8 am on Friday 16 July 2027 from Fellin Park in Ouray, Colorado, and closes at noon on Sunday 18 July.

The Ouray 100 is a mountain hundred in the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado, organised by Ouray Ultras. It starts and finishes at Fellin Park, a few yards from the town's hot springs. The organiser counts 102.1 miles with 41,862 feet of gain, a high point of 13,365 feet and a low point of 7,640 feet, and rates it among the most difficult 100 milers in the world.

The route strings together old mining roads and high trails around the town: Camp Bird Road, Silver Basin, Imogene Pass Road, the Chicago Tunnel, Fort Peabody, Ptarmigan Lake, the Richmond Trail, Ironton, Corkscrew Gulch, the Weehawken Trail, the Hayden Trail and the Old Horsethief Trail to the Bridge of Heaven, among others. Part of the event runs on public land under a Forest Service permit.

The cutoff is 52 hours. The race philosophy is plain: low key, no frills and a no whining rule for runners, crews and pacers. There is no 50 mile buckle for a runner who stops after 50 miles of the 100. The organiser says the race is designed to be hard but doable, and that the oldest finisher so far was 62.

It suits experienced mountain ultrarunners who are comfortable with long exposed climbs and nights at altitude. Crews and visitors will find the start and finish in town, close to lodging and the hot springs.
