A new spring swimrun from Alcúdia

ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Mallorca is a new race in the ÖTILLÖ World Series, and on Saturday 3 April 2027 all three courses start in the walled old town of Alcúdia.

Mallorca joins the ÖTILLÖ calendar as a brand new race, and ÖTILLÖ chose the early April date because spring weather on the island is already mild and stable, with daytime temperatures usually around 18 to 20 °C. Every distance starts in the historic old town of Alcúdia, known for its medieval walls, and check-in, the Friday race village and the award ceremony are at the Zafiro Palace Alcudia hotel.

The World Series is 33.44 km with 4.85 km of swimming and 28.59 km of running over 8 swims and 9 runs, and about 1096 m of climbing. It starts at 07:45 and finishes back in Alcúdia. The Sprint starts at 08:15 and covers 18.6 km with 2.35 km in the water and 212 m of climbing. The Experience starts at 08:30 and is 9.4 km with 720 m of swimming and only 33 m of climbing.

ÖTILLÖ describes a course of rugged coastline, clear water, old olive groves and sunny trails, with cliffs, hidden coves, pine forest and rocky paths, and the Tramuntana mountains as a backdrop. The World Series carries cut-offs at its third and fourth energy stations, at 10:45 and 12:30, while the Sprint and the Experience have none. ÖTILLÖ presents the Experience as a short swimrun adventure that shows what Mallorca has to offer.

ÖTILLÖ promises more spectator recommendations closer to the race, and the World Series starts and finishes in Alcúdia. Help to teams is not allowed except in a medical emergency, and ÖTILLÖ also covers the race live.

On Livebib you can follow a participant live if they choose to share their own position from the phone they carry during the race. That position comes from the participant, not from the organiser's timing, and the official times and results are published by ÖTILLÖ.
