Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, live.

A Run to Remember from the 9:03 Gate

The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, the Run to Remember, returns to Oklahoma City over the weekend of 23 to 25 April 2027.

The Memorial Marathon began in 2001 as a fundraiser for the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, and all event proceeds still benefit it. Its mission is to celebrate life, reach for the future and honour the memories of those killed in the 1995 bombing. The first race had just under 5,000 participants, and the event now hosts nearly 30,000 runners and walkers.

Race weekend has six events: the marathon, the half marathon, the quarter marathon, the 5K and the Kids and Senior Marathons, whose participants complete 25 miles before race day and the last 1.2 miles in person. The marathon starts at the 9:03 Gate of the Memorial and winds through downtown, Bricktown, past the Oklahoma State Capitol, through Nichols Hills and the Village and around parks and neighbourhoods. Along the way runners pass 168 banners. The quarter marathon covers 6.55 miles from the Memorial, alone or as a four person team.

The race begins with 168 seconds of silence. The marathon is a Boston qualifying, USATF sanctioned event, and Runner's World voted it a must-run marathon. The 5K suits walkers and newcomers, and every participant gets one free admission to the Museum.

The organiser's app has an interactive course map with real-time tracking, and spectator support along the course is strong.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. That position comes from the participant, not from the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by the organiser.
