Mogollon Monster 100, live.

Six climbs of the Mogollon Rim above Pine, Arizona

The Mogollon Monster 100 starts at 6:00 am on Saturday 11 September 2027 at the Two-Sixty Trailhead and finishes at Pine Community Center.

The Mogollon Monster 100 is a rugged trail race on the Mogollon Rim, about 90 minutes northeast of Phoenix near the small town of Pine. It is organised by Aravaipa Running. The Rim rises some 2,000 feet and runs for 200 miles across Arizona into New Mexico, and the race climbs onto it in six separate places.

The 100 mile starts at 6:00 am on 11 September at the Two-Sixty Trailhead on Highway 260 near Payson. It covers 100.9 miles with 15,900 feet of climbing and a 38 hour limit, and the highest point is 7,912 feet. Some climbs and descents reach grades of 30 to 45 percent, and the ground moves from high desert to ponderosa pine forest on top of the Rim.

The 42K starts at 7:00 am on Sunday 12 September from the Pine Trailhead and covers 26.7 miles with 4,554 feet of climbing. It is a good choice for participants who want a hard mountain marathon on the same trails.

Every 100 mile entrant must have finished a race of 50 miles or more before race day. Bib pickup is on Friday 10 September in Pine, and the golden hour for the last 100 mile finishers is on Sunday evening at Pine Community Center, where friends and families can welcome them in.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from Aravaipa Running.
