Wizz Air Milano Marathon, live.

Corso Sempione to the Duomo, on Italy's fastest course

The Wizz Air Milano Marathon is a spring city marathon that the organiser calls the fastest in Italy, run alongside a team relay.

The 25th Wizz Air Milano Marathon is on Sunday 4 April 2027. Bibs are collected at the Milano Running Festival on 1, 2 and 3 April 2027, and registration closes at 11:59 pm on 31 March 2027. The organiser says the event welcomes over 40,000 participants every year across its races, with over 20,000 runners in the marathon itself.

The 42.195 km course starts on Corso Sempione and finishes in Piazza del Duomo, crossing the centre of Milan past many of its best known places, with DJ sets, music zones and cheering points along the way and 10 refreshment points. The organiser calls it Italy's fastest marathon and says it was the fastest in the world in 2021. The maximum time is 6 hours 30 minutes.

The Relay Marathon runs on the same Sunday in four legs: Corso Sempione to Pagano 13.2 km, Pagano to San Siro 8.6 km, San Siro to Uruguay 6.9 km, and Uruguay to Via Palestro 12.1 km. Teams can run it for a charity, and the charity programme has raised over 11 million euro since 2012. On Saturday 3 April there is a Family Run, and a Dog Run is also part of the weekend.

The organiser says that every year countless participants run a personal best in Milan. The Family Run grew out of the School Marathon, and in 2026 alone the charity donations passed 3.1 million euro.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, so the dot on the map is only as good as that phone and its signal. The official results and splits come from the Milano Marathon organiser.
