Little Rock Marathon, live.

Arkansas's capital, famous for its very big medals

Little Rock Marathon race weekend returns to downtown Little Rock on 6 and 7 March 2027.

Held each year on the first weekend in March, the Little Rock Marathon is run by Little Rock Parks & Recreation and has donated an estimated 1.5 million dollars to the city's parks since it began in 2003. Runner's World recognised its oversized finisher medal in 2005, and the huge medals are still a tradition.

Every race starts and finishes on LaHarpe Boulevard behind the Statehouse Convention Center. The 5K and the 10K are on Saturday 6 March at 7:00 a.m. The marathon and the half marathon start on Sunday 7 March at 7:00 a.m., after the wheelchair and hand cycle start at 6:55 a.m. The marathon passes the State Capitol, and the organiser describes a scenic course featuring the capital city's landmarks, with 19 aid stations.

Runners and walkers who need 6 to 8 hours for the marathon can apply for the 5:00 a.m. early start. The marathon is a Boston qualifier, and the shorter races suit people building up to longer distances.

Packet pick-up is at the Statehouse Convention Center on 5 and 6 March, and athletes have a village inside it on race morning. Local groups run cheer stations along the course.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. That position comes from the participant, not from the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by the organiser.
