Leadville Trail Marathon & Heavy Half, live.

Up to Mosquito Pass at 13,185 feet

The Leadville Trail Marathon and Heavy Half are on 26 June 2027, climbing from Leadville, Colorado to the top of Mosquito Pass.

The Leadville Trail Marathon and Heavy Half belong to Life Time's Leadville Race Series. Both races run out and back through the historic mining district east of Leadville on old mining roads and single track, and both reach Mosquito Pass at 13,185 feet, the highest point of any race in the series. The organiser calls it the highest trail marathon in the USA.

The marathon covers 26.2 miles with seven aid stations, at Adelaide, Resurrection and Mosquito Pass. The Heavy Half covers 15.4 miles along the same path without the Ball Mountain section, with three aid stations. The course is marked with pink and black ribbon and flour arrows, and there is a chance of snow up high.

The 2027 schedule is still subject to change. In 2026 the marathon started at 6:30 am and the Heavy Half at 9:00 am, both with a self seeded start by pace group. Marathon runners must be 16 or older on race day and Heavy Half runners 14 or older.

Crews are asked not to drive on the course. The race page describes a crew shuttle from the start line to the Resurrection aid station, and parking and shuttle pickup spots under a mile from the start.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and official results come from the Leadville Race Series.
