Kendall Mountain Run, live.

From Silverton's main street to 13,066 feet

The Kendall Mountain Run starts at 7:00 am on Sunday 18 July 2027 on Greene Street in Silverton, Colorado, with a 12 mile race and an 11K.

The Kendall Mountain Run traces its story to a bar bet in 1908, and speed ascents of the mountain above Silverton have a long history. It is now produced by Aravaipa Running.

The 12 mile race starts at 13th Street and Greene Street in downtown Silverton and climbs jeep roads from 9,318 feet to the 13,066 foot summit of Kendall Mountain, finishing the ascent with a 300 foot scramble. It has about 3,960 feet of gain, and the course record is 1:31:05 by Jim Walmsley in 2017. The 11K covers 6.8 miles with about 1,616 feet of gain. Both races start together at 7:00 am in 2027 and finish at Silverton Memorial Park.

Views from the top take in the town and the San Juan Mountains. Online registration closes on 12 July 2027, and bib pickup is at Silverton Memorial Park on Greene Street from 3 to 6 pm on Friday and Saturday.

The run pairs with any distance of the Silverton Alpine as the Mountain Duo Challenge, with a discount for people who sign up for both and cap off the weekend on Kendall Mountain. Friends and families can see the start in downtown Silverton and wait for finishers at Memorial Park.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and official results come from Aravaipa Running.
