Indy Mini-Marathon, live.

A half marathon with a lap of the Speedway

The IU Health 500 Festival Mini-Marathon runs for the 51st time on Saturday 8 May 2027, starting in downtown Indianapolis and including a lap of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The 500 Festival, a nonprofit, organises the Mini-Marathon in Indianapolis each spring. The 51st running is on Saturday 8 May 2027, and registration is open.

The half marathon covers 13.1 miles. It starts in downtown Indianapolis and includes a 2.5 mile lap of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where participants can stop to kiss the bricks at the Yard of Bricks. The course is flat and fast, and more than 100 entertainers line the route.

The Delta Dental 500 Festival 5K runs on the same day, so there are two races on one day. Ahead of race day, the Miler Series of 3, 6 and 10 mile races, which the organisers call an ideal training series, runs on 13 February, 6 March and 10 April.

The organisers call the Mini a must do event for participants of all levels and abilities, with more than 20,000 participants from all 50 states and over 16 countries. After the race, participants celebrate with friends and family at the free 500 Festival Post Race Party.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the 500 Festival.
