Ten summits above Cavalese

A skyrunning weekend in Val di Fiemme, where the longest course strings together ten named peaks between the Latemar and the Lagorai chain.

Fiemme Ultra Sky runs from 2 to 4 October 2026, with start and finish on Via Bronzetti in the centre of Cavalese. Four courses are on this page: the Fiemme Sky Extreme (119.9 km, 7,578 m of climbing), the Fiemme Sky Ultra (77 km, 4,957 m), the Fiemme Sky Marathon (52.5 km, 3,120 m) and the Fiemme Sky Race (29.9 km, 1,715 m). The three long ones start on Saturday 3 October, at 05:00, 07:00 and 09:00; the 30K starts at 08:00 on Sunday 4 October.

All four leave Cavalese the same way, through Salime and the pastures of La Bassa toward the Cornacci group above Tesero. The three long races climb on over Pizzancae, Pelenzana, Monte Agnello, Monte Cornon and Dos dai Branchi to Cima Valbona at 2,691 m, the highest point of the event, in the Latemar. The organiser describes ridges, rocky towers, couloirs and technical paths. The 80K and 120K go on over Pala di Santa, Corno Bianco and Corno Nero and come down to Varena; from there the 120K alone crosses into the Lagorai chain, over Cimon del To della Trappola, before returning to Cavalese.

Time limits are long: 36 hours on the 120K, 24 on the 80K, 15 on the 55K and 9 on the 30K, so the longest races run through the night.
