Finish on the track at Hayward Field

The Eugene Marathon holds its 20th running on 23 to 25 April 2027, and every race ends inside Hayward Field at the University of Oregon.

The Eugene Marathon was established in 2007 and is the largest marathon in the Pacific Northwest. It is held on the last Sunday in April, and the 2027 weekend marks the 20th running. The marathon and half marathon start at 7:00 on Sunday 25 April, and the Eugene 5K starts at 8:00 on Saturday 24 April.

Both long races start on Agate Street in the shadow of Hayward Field and head south through the university neighbourhoods to Frank Kinney Park before passing Hayward Field again near mile 9. The courses split at the Knickerbocker Footbridge. The half marathon loops through Alton Baker Park, while the marathon runs a loop in Springfield and follows the Ruth Bascom Riverbank Path System along the Willamette River before rejoining the half marathon course for the final half mile and a finish on the track.

The marathon has 417 feet of total elevation gain and a 7 hour limit. The half marathon has 395 feet of gain and a 3.5 hour limit, which means a pace of 16 minutes per mile. Both courses are USATF and World Athletics certified. All distances sold out in 2024, 2025 and 2026, so register early.

Supporters can meet participants near Hayward Field, where every race ends. The Health and Wellness Expo is at the Graduate Eugene on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 April.
