Three days of passes from Zernez

The Engadin Radmarathon is a three day road cycling weekend in Zernez, with a short hill climb on Friday and two marathons over the passes of the Engadin on Saturday and Sunday.

The 21st edition runs from 2 to 4 July 2027. Across the three days the organiser counts 221 km, five passes and more than 4,000 m of climbing, past the Swiss National Park, along reservoirs and through alpine valleys. Registration for 2027 opens on 1 November 2026.

Friday 2 July starts with Il Prolog, an individual time trial from Zernez up towards the Ofenpass, about 7 km with just over 400 m of climbing. Riders leave a start ramp one by one from 18.30. The prolog is limited to 150 participants and is only open to those who also ride one of the main races.

On Saturday 3 July, La Cuorta covers 97 km and 1,367 m with a mass start at 07.00. It climbs the Ofenpass through the National Park, passes the Munt la Schera tunnel to Livigno, then crosses the Forcola and the Bernina Pass before the descent past Pontresina and back to Zernez. On Sunday 4 July, La Svizra starts at 06.00 and covers 117 km and 2,815 m over the Flüela Pass to Davos, through the Landwasser valley and over the Albula Pass before returning to Zernez.

Both marathons start and finish on Via Suot in Zernez, where the race village is open on all three days. The first finishers are expected from about 9.30 on Saturday and from about 10.00 on Sunday. The organiser also runs special classifications, among them a mountain prize and a team classification.
