A mountain run from Sexten to the Three Peaks

The Südtirol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run is a mountain race in the Sexten Dolomites that climbs from the village of Sexten to the foot of the Drei Zinnen.

The next race is on 11 September 2027 with the start at 09:00. The course is 17.9 km long with 1,354 m of climbing, entirely inside the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage area. The field is capped at 1,000 runners, who come from more than 20 nations each year, and the race is on the official calendar of the Italian athletics federation, FIDAL.

From the start at Haus Sexten the route follows the main road to Moos, then turns into the Fischleintal and runs past the Fischleinbodenhütte and the Talschlusshütte. At the end of the valley a selective zigzag path climbs to the Zsigmondyhütte and on to the Büllelejochhütte at 2,575 m. The last section runs above the Bödenseen to the finish at the Drei Zinnen, at the Drei Zinnen Hütte.

This is a race for runners who are happy on steep mountain paths and at altitude. Runners must be at least 18. Supporters can see the start in Sexten, while the finish is high up at the hut below the peaks.

The weekend also has the Mini Alpine Run on Sunday for children and young people up to 18, and the same organiser runs the Drei Zinnen Ski Raid and a Winter Night Run in the Fischleintal in winter. Since the start of the race, 18,830 runners have finished it.
