Three days of racing from Pafos Castle

The Cyprus Gran Fondo is a three day stage event for amateur road cyclists, based in Pafos on the west coast of Cyprus.

The 2027 Cyprus Gran Fondo is held from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 March 2027 and is organised by Activate Cyprus. Each stage starts from the area at Pafos Castle, and the organiser presents it as a UCI World Series qualifier for the World Championships. Number pick up is at the En Plo Gallery in Pafos in the days before the start.

Stage 1 on Friday has two parts. The road race starts at 08:15 from Pafos Castle and covers 55.7 km with 820 m of climbing, with a timed section from Anarita to Nikoklia. The individual time trial starts at 11:30 at Nikoklia village and is 27.4 km with 260 m of climbing.

Saturday is the longest day. The Gran Fondo route is 103 km with 1880 m of ascent and the Medio Fondo is 89.3 km with 1520 m, both starting from Pafos Castle at 09:00 and 09:02 and timed to Kouklia. On Sunday the Gran Fondo is 59.2 km with 1390 m and the Medio Fondo 50.6 km with 1090 m, both timed from Anarita to Tsada, starting at 08:00 and 08:02.

The format suits club riders who want a short racing block in spring weather, with a choice between the longer and the shorter stage routes. For family and friends, Pafos Castle is the place to be at the start of each stage, and the final award ceremony for stage 3 and the general classification is held there on Sunday afternoon.
