Challenge Cesenatico, live.

Adriatic swim, Romagna hills and a seafront finish

Challenge Cesenatico is a triathlon in Cesenatico on the Adriatic coast of Emilia-Romagna on 16 May 2027, in a town whose port canal was designed by Leonardo da Vinci.

The race is part of Challenge Family and pairs fast, fair courses with an Italian atmosphere and strong local support. Cesenatico is a renowned cycling destination that hosted the second stage of the Tour de France in 2024. The race director is Alessandro Alessandri.

The main race is the 100 distance: 2 km of swimming, 80 km on the bike and 18 km of running. The swim starts from Cesenatico beach. The bike course is set entirely in the hills of Romagna, technical and hilly, through the areas of Cesena, Longiano, Gambettola and Gatteo. The run is a totally flat multi-lap course on the seafront, packed with spectators, finishing on Viale Carducci.

The sprint distance, 750 m, 20 km and 5 km, offers a shorter way to race, and there are junior races as well. Average air temperature is around 20 degrees and the sea around 18 in May, and the golden beaches make it easy to turn the race into a holiday.

The race hotels are mostly a few steps from transition and offer athlete friendly services, from kit delivery to bike storage and late check out on race day. Spectators get the best of the day on the seafront, where the run laps pass the crowds again and again.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry during the race. That is the athlete's own sharing and not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
