Boilermaker Road Race, live.

Utica's July 15K with a brewery finish

The Boilermaker 15K starts at 8:00 on Sunday 11 July 2027 on Culver Avenue in Utica, New York, and finishes on Court Street.

The Boilermaker Road Race is the summer running weekend of Utica, New York, and the 2027 edition is billed as Boilermaker 50. The main event is the 15K, which the organisers note is often called the country's best 15K, known for an entertaining but demanding course and a post race party hosted by the F.X. Matt Brewing Company.

The 15K is 9.3 miles, was recertified by USATF in 2024 and is marked in miles, with official water and aid stations. It starts on Culver Avenue near Beechgrove Place and finishes on Court Street at Varick Street, and the streets are closed to traffic for 2 hours 30 minutes. The 5K starts at 7:15 and covers the last 5 kilometres of the Boilermaker course, finishing at the brewery where the party begins. 5K participants must finish within 45 minutes.

Only registered participants may be on the course, and walkers, dogs and strollers are not allowed in the races. Bibs are collected at the Health and Wellness Expo at the MVCC Utica campus on 9 and 10 July, and any bib transfer must go through the official registration platform. The weekend also includes a wheelchair 15K, a kids run and the Boilermaker Walk on Saturday 10 July.

Crowd support along the course is a big part of the race's reputation, and the post race party at the brewery is open to runners and their friends and families.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Boilermaker Road Race.
