200.1 miles through the Cascades from Mount St. Helens

The Bigfoot 200 leaves Marble Mountain Sno-Park on Friday 13 August 2027 at 12:00 p.m. and must be finished within 107 hours.

The Bigfoot 200 is a point to point mountain race through the Cascade Mountains of Washington, organised by Destination Trail. The 2027 edition runs from 13 to 17 August. Participants start at Marble Mountain Sno-Park on the flank of Mount St. Helens, the volcano that erupted in 1980, and finish in the Randle area.

The course covers 200.1 miles with 44,082 feet of climbing and 45,563 feet of descent. It crosses lava fields, long ridge lines with views of mountains and lakes, deep old growth forest and many streams. There are 12 full aid stations and 5 sleep stations, and the cutoff is 107 hours. The race takes place on National Forest lands.

The Bigfoot 20M starts from the same sno-park at 9:30 a.m. on 13 August. It covers 21.1 miles along the southwestern side of Mount St. Helens on 100 percent singletrack, with 4,178 feet of climbing, one aid station at mile 12.2 and a nine hour cutoff.

The 200 is for experienced ultrarunners who can manage several nights of little sleep in remote country, and entry for 2027 is through a waitlist. Crews and families should plan their driving well, since the start and finish are far apart, and the pre race meeting and check in for the 200 are in the Randle area near the finish.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Bigfoot 200.
