Austin Marathon, live.

Up Congress Avenue to the Texas State Capitol

The Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, half marathon and 5K take over downtown Austin on Sunday 14 February 2027.

Held since 1992, the Austin Marathon draws about 30,000 people to downtown Austin each February, and the organisers count it as the 25th largest marathon in the United States. The 2027 races are on Sunday 14 February.

The marathon and the half marathon start together at 7:00 at 2nd Street and Congress Avenue. The first three miles run along South Congress, and the courses later pass Zilker Park on their way through the city. Both finish at 9th Street and Congress Avenue, in front of the Texas State Capitol. The first three miles are a steady climb up South Congress, followed by a downhill stretch on South First Street.

The 5K starts and finishes at 2nd and Congress on an out and back course along South Congress, and it is the only 5K that runs on South Congress. It benefits the Paramount Theatre and the organiser calls its course perfect for families and fundraising teams.

The organiser recommends South Congress in the early miles as a cheering spot and notes that the whole 26.2 mile course is open to spectators. The finish area is a secure zone with closed sidewalks, so supporters meet runners at the reunion points on 6th Street.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Austin Marathon.
