3 Zinnen Ski-Marathon, live.

From the Fischleintal to the foot of the Drei Zinnen

The 3 Zinnen Ski-Marathon, founded in 1976 as the Pustertaler Ski-Marathon, is a two day cross-country ski weekend in the Dolomites of South Tyrol.

The event was founded in 1976 as the Pustertaler Ski-Marathon and is one of the oldest recreational cross-country ski races in the region. The 2027 edition is on 9 and 10 January, with a Mini Ski-Marathon for children in Niederdorf on the afternoon of 8 January.

Saturday 9 January is the classic race. It starts at 09:00 in the Fischleintal in Sexten, below the Sextner Sonnenuhr peaks, and runs through Innichen and Toblach to the Nordic Arena. Shortly after the arena the field splits. The 30 km turns right before Lake Toblach and finishes in Niederdorf, while the 60 km heads toward Cortina past the Drei Zinnen viewpoint and Dürrensee into the Val Fonda, turning just before Cimabanche. Skiers choose their distance during the race, not in advance.

Sunday 10 January is the Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge, 30 km in free technique from the main square in Niederdorf at 09:30. It follows the valley past Toblach, the Drei Zinnen viewpoint, Dürrensee and Schluderbach, then climbs about 7 km at an average of 10 percent to the Plätzwiese. The finish is at 2,031 m in the Fanes-Sennes-Prags nature park.

The climb to the Plätzwiese is part of the Dolomiti Superbike course. After the classic race on Saturday there is a pasta and after race party with changing rooms and showers. On Sunday the pasta party is at the Dürrensteinhütte, and the category prize giving follows on the Plätzwiese.

On Livebib you can follow a skier who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the 3 Zinnen Ski-Marathon.
