Rodi Media Maratón Ibercaja Ciudad de Zaragoza, live.

A fast, flat half marathon starting by the Plaza del Pilar

The 29th Rodi Media Maratón Ibercaja Ciudad de Zaragoza takes place on Sunday 14 March 2027, starting from the Paseo de Echegaray next to the Plaza del Pilar.

The race is organised by the athletics club Corre en Zaragoza, under the Aragonese athletics federation. The 2026 edition set a participation record of 7,500 on what was then a new and faster course, more than doubling its field in two years, and the 2027 edition reached 1,000 entries within an hour of opening.

The half marathon covers 21,097 m on a course certified by the Spanish federation, which the organiser describes as fast, flat and monumental, through the centre of the city. It starts at 09:00 and has a limit of 2 hours 30 minutes, with compulsory checkpoints. Eight official pacers run for times from 1:24 to 2:00, and drinks are served at km 5, 10 and 15, with food and drink at the finish. Participants must be 18 on race day.

The 5K starts earlier, at 08:30, on a course through the centre that suits every pace. It is open from age 14 and has a limit of 40 minutes, with checkpoints at each kilometre. Both distances include a technical shirt, a finisher medal and chip timing by Racechip Aragón. Entries close on 11 March 2027 at 23:59, and bibs are collected at the Espacio Explora Ibercaja on Friday 12 March from 16:00 to 20:00 and Saturday 13 March from 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00, never on race day.

On race morning the cloakroom opens at 07:30 in the Pabellón Deportivo Tenerías, with showers and physiotherapy after the finish. Parking at Juzgados and the Plaza del Pilar is available until 07:45, after which the tram, buses or a bicycle are the better choice for supporters too.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, so the dot moves only as well as that phone and its signal. Official results come from the organiser of the Media Maratón de Zaragoza.
