The course runs point to point through the Southern Finger Lakes, winding through several small towns and along country roads, and passes Campbell at about halfway — the start of the half marathon, which set off 45 minutes earlier. The organiser describes it as fast, flat and scenic, and notes that it lies within Boston’s net-downhill limit of 1,500 feet, so a qualifying time here needs no adjustment.

The time limit is 6.5 hours, and runners must be 18 or older. Buses run to the start from Tioga Avenue in Corning between 5:00 and 6:30 a.m., about a 30-minute ride, and from Pulteney Park in Bath between 5:30 and 7:00 a.m. Finishers receive a hand-crafted glass medal. The 2026 race was the 45th Wineglass Marathon.
