A night and a day along the Skåne coast

The hundred miles leave Höganäs at dusk and cross Kullaberg in the dark, long before the coast turns north for Hallandsåsen.

Kullamannen runs 173 kilometres from Höganäs Church to Båstad, and it starts at six in the evening — so the first climbing, the rocky headland of Kullaberg above the Kattegat, is done by headlamp. The route then follows the shoreline east and north through Svanshall and Ängelholm before turning up onto Hallandsåsen, whose ridge at 203 metres is the highest ground of the whole race, and drops to the coast again at Hovs Hallar for the last hours into Båstad.

The four races share that coast. The hundred miles and the hundred kilometres both start at Höganäs Church in the evening; the shorter two set off from Båstad the next day and run the northern shore of the peninsula. Every one of them finishes in the same town.
