Three kilometres through two rivers

Two kilometres downstream in Vanån, then the final kilometre upstream in Västerdalälven.

Vansbrosimningen’s main course is three kilometres in open water. The first two kilometres run downstream in Vanån; after the turn into Västerdalälven, the final kilometre heads against the current toward the finish. Shorter 1.5 and 1-kilometre races share the swim week.

Livebib places the swimmer on the river course rather than reducing the day to a start and finish time. Followers can see progress toward the turn, the upstream final section and the estimated arrival at the finish from one link.
