Vansbro Tjejsim

A signature event of the Vansbro week and an essential part of Tjejklassikern, Tjejsimmet covers 1,000 metres of challenging open water. The course begins in Vanån with 500 metres of smooth downstream swimming before turning sharply into Västerdalälven for the final 500 metres upstream against the cold river current. Cheered on by vibrant crowds along the riverbanks, swimmers push all the way to the finish line under the iconic Plasket bridge.
