The organiser gave 108 km and 6,200 metres of climb, with a maximum time of 28 hours. The first big effort came early: the Tête de la Tronche at 2,543 metres after 9.5 km, facing Mont Blanc and the Grandes Jorasses, then the balcony past the Bertone and Bonatti refuges, Arnouvaz and Refuge Elena to the Grand Col Ferret (2,527 m) at 31 km and the crossing into Switzerland.

From La Fouly at 41 km the course ran down to Praz de Fort and up to Champex-Lac at 55 km, the hot-food stop, then over La Giète to Trient at 72 km and Les Tseppes to Vallorcine at 83 km and back into France. The finish came via the Col des Montets, the Tête de Béchar and La Flégère to Chamonix. The CCC is now the 100K final of the UTMB World Series. The 2026 race was won by Cristian Minoggio and Yngvild Kaspersen.

A morning start split the field: the leaders finished in daylight while the organiser’s timetable for the back of the field reached Vallorcine only on Saturday morning.
