A city triathlon on the Neckar

The Mey Generalbau Triathlon Tübingen is a city triathlon in Tübingen, Germany, on Sunday 18 July 2027, with the swim in the river Neckar.

Three distances are on offer. The Kurzdistanz is a 1.5 km swim, 43 km bike and 9.5 km run, starting from 8:30. The SUZUKI Sprintdistanz is 750 m, 22 km and 4.7 km from 10:00, and the Schnupperdistanz is 300 m, 11 km and 3.2 km from 11:00. The Kurzdistanz and the sprint can also be raced as relays, and all age group races use a rolling start from the Neckarinsel. The finish closes at 12:45.

The swim is a buoyed turnaround course in the Neckar in front of the old town riverfront. The bike goes out into the Schönbuch with about 200 m of climbing per lap, and the run follows the Neckar and the Anlagenpark into the old town.

In the afternoon the 1. Triathlon Bundesliga races in Tübingen, women at 14:00 and men at 15:30, so the day ends with elite racing on the same streets. Saturday has race packet pickup on Karlstraße, a Maultaschen party and the race briefing.

Entry opened on 22 July 2026 and closes on 7 July 2027 or when a distance is full. The Kurzdistanz needs a German start licence or a day licence. Tübingen main station is about six minutes on foot from packet pickup.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry on course. That dot on the map is the person's own sharing, not the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by the organiser.
