A swim in the Neckar and a run on its banks

The VR Bank Triathlon Heilbronn powered by Audi is a one day triathlon in Heilbronn, Germany, on Sunday 13 June 2027, with three distances and relays.

The race is organised by Deutsche Triathlon gGmbH. Athletes swim in the Neckar, ride through the countryside around Heilbronn and run along the riverbank. Entry for 2027 opened on 15 June 2026, and each distance closes as soon as it is full.

The middle distance starts at 08:15 and covers 1.9 km, 83 km and 21.5 km, with cut-offs of 1:10 for the swim, 5:30 after the bike and 8:00 overall. The standard distance starts at 12:00 with 1.5 km, 45 km and 10.5 km, and the sprint at 13:15 with 0.75 km, 22 km and 5 km. Each distance is open to relay teams as well.

All starts are rolling starts, with three athletes entering the water every five seconds. The finish closes at 16:35, so the whole race fits into one day.

Race packs are handed out on Friday and Saturday, and bikes are checked in on Saturday afternoon, followed by a Maultaschen party in the evening. The swim, bike and run courses are completely closed for the race.
