The course stays on the eastern side of Lantau, mostly on coastal trail in the country parks. It climbs Lo Yan Shan and Lo Fu Tau, Tiger’s Head, which the organiser calls a short sharp climb. Four aid stations are named: Ham Tin, Chi Ma Wan, Mui Wo and Discovery Bay. The return to the finish in Mui Wo follows the Olympic Trail.

At 2,500 m over 45 km it climbs more per kilometre than the 100, but in a single day. It suits trail runners who want Lantau’s coast and its steep island climbs without a night out, and the 11-hour limit leaves room for walking the climbs. Support is allowed only at the tolerated checkpoints and there are no pacers. The mandatory kit includes a torch with a spare battery and a waterproof jacket with a hood. The time chart sets cut-offs at Mui Wo at 16:00 and Discovery Bay at 18:30.

This page covers the 2026 edition. Mui Wo is both an aid station and the finish, so supporters there have a reason to know where the runner is well before the end.
